Happy Mother's Day

Today was a day to remember. Daniel was sweet to make sure my first Mother's Day was special. We went to church, the he took me out to eat, and waited on me hand and foot for the rest of the day! I feel so blessed to be a mother. I am truly happier than I have ever been and cannot believe God has entrusted me with such a precious little girl. I know Addalie is all we ever talk about on the blog, but she is our world, and let's face it, she's all anybody else cares about as well. So here are a few pics of my first mother's day with my favorite little girl!

She is such a happy baby. I will never get over this smile!

She will smile like she did in the previous picture, then she gets really excited and opens her mouth wide. It's so cute! (Can you tell I'm smitten with my baby?)

So what's the deal with all these little baby outfits having huge hats? They could fit my head!

I haven't figured out how to rotate pictures yet and didn't really feel like going through the trouble tonight. 

By the way, Addalie went for her two month appointment the other day. Well actually, she went for a stuffy nose and we went ahead and got her 2 month shots. That was plain torture for Addalie and me! Anyway, here are her stats:

Weight: 10 lbs, .25 oz

Length: 23 in

Head: 15 1/4 in

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there!

Last weekend we had more family come visit! Another wonderful thing about having Addalie come into this world is that those who never would have come all the way to Ohio otherwise have come! Bob (Daniel's dad) and Ryan (Daniel's brother) came up and we had a great time with them. Of course, Pop had to spoil Addalie! He took us to Babies R Us to buy Addalie a swing and some really cute clothes. She loves her swing and I love having something to keep my baby, who absolutely loves to be held, occupied!

Addalie enjoyed sitting with Uncle Ryan, even when he got chocolate all over her!

We took a trip to the US Airforce Museum in Dayton. It was really interesting to see all the old planes and learn more about the history of our country. 

Addalie absolutely loves her bouncer. She loves looking at the animals above her!

That's all for now! Basically we have very little of interest to say these days, our lives just revolve around catching Addalie on camera!

Camera Phone Video

This isn't the best quality of video since it was done on a cell phone, but still pretty good.  Addalie is a pretty happy baby.  Fortunately this was taken right before she got her first shot since leaving the hospital.  She weighed in at 9 lbs 1 oz today.

As we raise Addalie, we pray that she will have this view of God and the world around her. It made us take a step back and realize again that as much as we love her, Addalie could never satisfy our hearts.

1 Month Old!

Addalie is 1 month old today.  The time has flow but we have absolutely loved every minute of her being a part of our lives.  Her 2nd check up was today, she weighed in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.  

Aunt Kyla got Addalie this dress when she was on vacation in Mexico.  Thanks Kyla!

She was finishing off a diaper in this picture, but we thought she was still pretty cute!

Well we are fortunate to have more family in town for the weekend.  Gam and Leah came in from El Paso and Abilene to meet Addalie.  So far they all seem to like each other.  Here are some pictures.

Addalie has a hard time staying in one spot when she is sleeping.  Here she is about to fall into the crack in the couch.  Thank goodness I was there to save her. 

Now for the best part of the day (because it wasn't me)......Sena was brave today and decided to change Addalie on her lap with no protection from anything non-absorbent.  As she was changing her, Addalie let it all go, and it went all over her momma.  

"It felt so good!"

3 weeks!

Our little girl is very alert and wide-eyed these days! She is becoming a little more interactive too. When she is being held, it seems she knows when we take our eyes off of her. She'll give a little whine and immediately stops when we turn attention back to her!

Addalie loves being outside.  We took her for her first walk in the stroller the other day, the she decided to take a nap outside while we worked outside getting the yard ready for Spring.   

She likes spending time in her bouncer.

The Ensors came over the other night and Mason & Brody really took to Addalie.  Brody was being really sweet with her by kissing her and calling her Baby Add-a-lie in his cute little voice. It was just precious! We think this is just the beginning of getting attention from boys! Daddy is going to have a hard time with that in the future!
