Addalie on the Farm

We were all able to go to Welch this weekend and spend some time with family and go see Landon play football. Addalie got to experience many things for the first time: her first football game, first time to play in the cotton field, and her first time to see some of the animals that she has been reading about in her books.

This was the best family picture we could get in the cotton. Addalie was more interested in trying to get it in her mouth then looking at the camera.

Addalie watching Landon feed the pigs.

Playing with Meme.

And Grandad.

Addalie taking a break from playing with the baby doll to pose with Nana

Anytime Addalie catches herself in the mirror or sees a picture of her around the house she has to stop and laugh at herself.

Grandad brought out a china doll for Addalie to look at and she could not get enough playtime with the baby. She loves babies whether they are real or not, she loves to hug and kiss them.

Addalie loved watching Uncle Landon play. She was so proud of him!

Almost anytime a camera is pointed at her, Addalie will stop what she is doing and smile at the camera.

With Uncle Kanyon in front of the cotton stripper

Addalie wore her John Deere shirt out in the field to play with the cotton.

She loves kisses from Nana and Papa

Papa showing Addalie how to use the stripper. She liked putting her hands on all that she could.

Addalie tried all weekend to say "Papa" but only got the mouth movement down. Maybe next time she can get it all out!

We had a great weekend, though we wish Landon could have won his game. He played great though and we are all so proud of him. We are just so thankful we are in a place where we can drive down for that kind of stuff! Next trip: El Paso to see the other grandparents for Thanksgiving!

Our Little Monkey

Well, I don't know how Addalie felt about all of it, but Daniel and I had a blast dressing our little girl up for Halloween! She was so cute and such a good sport! We took her to a costume party we hosted at our apartment complex, and then to Nick and Jada's for a cookout and trick or treating. Of course, Addalie got no candy, but it was fun showing her off in her costume!

Addalie has always seemed to be drawn to monkeys, so we thought it would be fun to see her as one. But all the costumes were plain brown, so we had to make it a little more girly. Addalie is hardly ever seen without a bow on, and we just kept that trend going!

Here are just a few of the oh-so-cute pictures we got of her!

We couldn't get that head to stay on straight!

With the cousins!

Getting some love from Keirah.

Emry was such a cute little ladybug! She wanted all the props- Addalie didn't mind!

And that's Addalie's first Halloween!

So if it weren't for Dena posting pictures on facebook, we would have nothing to put on our blog. All of these pics are from her facebook page! (Sorry Dena, nothing new on here for you. We have to be better about taking pictures.) We have had a great time with Bob and Dena lately. They came down for Daniel's birthday in September and then we got to see them this past weekend at Hardin Simmons Homecoming!

We had a great time seeing all the Reese family (Except Gam. We missed you!) in Abilene. It is always a joy to spend time with little Bonnie! She is such a sweet girl and a good big cousin to Addalie. I love being back in my college town. I miss those days so much. I miss that great atmospher and the incredible people I had the opportunity to know. One of the great blessings in my life was going to ACU and experiencing all that I did there. Even though we didn't spend time at ACU this weekend or with any of my college friends, I had a blast spending time with Daniel's friends (I consider them my friends as well now)!

Addalie playing with Tia Leah!

With Gran D before church.

We had a hard time getting a picture with both of them looking at the camera at the same time. They were really cute together.

Addalie got to take her 6 month pictures with her Gran-D and Pop. I thought they turned out great!

Yeah I still don't know how to rotate pictures!

Crazy Times

So I am officially the worst blogger ever! I'm sure everyone has stopped even checking our blog because it's always the same ol' stuff, and for that, I'm very sorry. September here has been so crazy, I just feel like I'm getting the bare minimum done around here. It's been awesome though- we have seen so much family! We would have never seen any of these people if we still lived in Ohio, so we are so thankful that we are back here and have the chance to visit with everybody!

First, we went to Dallas for a wedding. Daniel was officiating the marriage of one of his college friends. I was so excited to see Katie Hooper while we were there! It had been like, 2 years since I'd seen my college BF! Then, we got to
see Mama Brown and Papa Brown when they came into town for a Swap Meet. (I don't know exactly what a Swap Meet is or even if I spell
ed that correctly, but apparently, it's lots of fun and worth driving all the way down here for!)

The next week, I took a spontaneous trip to Galveston to see Kyla and her new baby, Micah! Kyla had a kidney stone and I was so thankful to be close enough to drive down and help her. Micah is so cute and I had a blast playing with Ava. We mostly played on the swing and had Dora the Explorer adventures of our own. She is so imaginative!

Addalie wasn't sure what to think of Micah. She just kept looking at her, then looking at me
questioningly. Then she would try to steal Micah's pacifier!

I tried to get a good one of Ava and Addalie, but it was difficult to make the two cooperate.

Soon after I got back, Mom and Dad came into town for Emry's first birthday! We had a blast hanging out at Jada and Nick's new house with them!

Getting some love from Nana and Papa!

Addalie and Emry are so cute together. They are really beginning to get to know each other and enjoy being around each other. They were giving lots of kisses when this picture was taken!

Ok, it is pretty near impossible to get a good picture of all the kids together! This is the best we could do at Emry's birthday party. Contrary to the picture, we all had a really good time!

Daniel's parents came down for a visit the weekend of his birthday. It was a short trip, but we had a great time with them! Here is Addalie celebrating her Daddy's birthday with him!

We had really cute pictures taken of Addalie with her Gran-D and Pop, but I will have to put them on the next post. She had so much fun with them, and loved the Jumperoo they bought her!

Our Baby is Crawling!

Addalie started crawling this past week. She has mastered the army crawl pretty good, and is getting better about moving on her hands and knees. It has definitely been a little harder to keep her in one place and or hold anything in your hands while she is near. Here are a few pictures from the last week or so.

Playing with her favorite hedgehog.

Crawling towards momma who stole the hedgehog.

She is getting good at giving really wet kisses

We weren't sure if this was appropriate or not, but we wanted to show off her rolls!

This is the typical I woke up too early from nap look
