So if it weren't for Dena posting pictures on facebook, we would have nothing to put on our blog. All of these pics are from her facebook page! (Sorry Dena, nothing new on here for you. We have to be better about taking pictures.) We have had a great time with Bob and Dena lately. They came down for Daniel's birthday in September and then we got to see them this past weekend at Hardin Simmons Homecoming!

We had a great time seeing all the Reese family (Except Gam. We missed you!) in Abilene. It is always a joy to spend time with little Bonnie! She is such a sweet girl and a good big cousin to Addalie. I love being back in my college town. I miss those days so much. I miss that great atmospher and the incredible people I had the opportunity to know. One of the great blessings in my life was going to ACU and experiencing all that I did there. Even though we didn't spend time at ACU this weekend or with any of my college friends, I had a blast spending time with Daniel's friends (I consider them my friends as well now)!

Addalie playing with Tia Leah!

With Gran D before church.

We had a hard time getting a picture with both of them looking at the camera at the same time. They were really cute together.

Addalie got to take her 6 month pictures with her Gran-D and Pop. I thought they turned out great!

Yeah I still don't know how to rotate pictures!

Crazy Times

So I am officially the worst blogger ever! I'm sure everyone has stopped even checking our blog because it's always the same ol' stuff, and for that, I'm very sorry. September here has been so crazy, I just feel like I'm getting the bare minimum done around here. It's been awesome though- we have seen so much family! We would have never seen any of these people if we still lived in Ohio, so we are so thankful that we are back here and have the chance to visit with everybody!

First, we went to Dallas for a wedding. Daniel was officiating the marriage of one of his college friends. I was so excited to see Katie Hooper while we were there! It had been like, 2 years since I'd seen my college BF! Then, we got to
see Mama Brown and Papa Brown when they came into town for a Swap Meet. (I don't know exactly what a Swap Meet is or even if I spell
ed that correctly, but apparently, it's lots of fun and worth driving all the way down here for!)

The next week, I took a spontaneous trip to Galveston to see Kyla and her new baby, Micah! Kyla had a kidney stone and I was so thankful to be close enough to drive down and help her. Micah is so cute and I had a blast playing with Ava. We mostly played on the swing and had Dora the Explorer adventures of our own. She is so imaginative!

Addalie wasn't sure what to think of Micah. She just kept looking at her, then looking at me
questioningly. Then she would try to steal Micah's pacifier!

I tried to get a good one of Ava and Addalie, but it was difficult to make the two cooperate.

Soon after I got back, Mom and Dad came into town for Emry's first birthday! We had a blast hanging out at Jada and Nick's new house with them!

Getting some love from Nana and Papa!

Addalie and Emry are so cute together. They are really beginning to get to know each other and enjoy being around each other. They were giving lots of kisses when this picture was taken!

Ok, it is pretty near impossible to get a good picture of all the kids together! This is the best we could do at Emry's birthday party. Contrary to the picture, we all had a really good time!

Daniel's parents came down for a visit the weekend of his birthday. It was a short trip, but we had a great time with them! Here is Addalie celebrating her Daddy's birthday with him!

We had really cute pictures taken of Addalie with her Gran-D and Pop, but I will have to put them on the next post. She had so much fun with them, and loved the Jumperoo they bought her!

Our Baby is Crawling!

Addalie started crawling this past week. She has mastered the army crawl pretty good, and is getting better about moving on her hands and knees. It has definitely been a little harder to keep her in one place and or hold anything in your hands while she is near. Here are a few pictures from the last week or so.

Playing with her favorite hedgehog.

Crawling towards momma who stole the hedgehog.

She is getting good at giving really wet kisses

We weren't sure if this was appropriate or not, but we wanted to show off her rolls!

This is the typical I woke up too early from nap look

5 Months Old!

I know we haven't updated this thing in forever for that, I apologize. It has been kind of crazy at the Reese house since we moved to Round Rock. It's not that our schedules are jammed packed, it's just that we have had more to adapt to than we usually do and have had a lot on our minds. We have had two offers on our house, and both have fallen through. It is so crushing when you have your heart set on selling and then the buyer doesn't go through with it. But we are trusting that God has a better offer out there for us and we are trying to be patient! Daniel is finally able to get things started with Farmer's Insurance. He has had to wait on a lot of things to come through, but now he's excited to working again. Addalie has been accompanying me on all my CARES errands. She is such a trooper and everybody at the apartments love her! I'm staying busy with CARES stuff and being a mommy. We are really enjoying doing this apartment ministry and getting to know all the residents.

It's hard to believe Addalie is 5 months old today!
She is growing so fast and every day there is something new to discover. She is rolling all over the place, rocking on her hands and knees, and sitting by herself for short periods of time. I am constantly amazed that God has allowed us to care for such a wonderful baby! She has such a sweet and joyful personality. I pray that part of her never changes.

That's it for now. Keep as in your prayers as we continue to try to get things going and are waiting on the house to sell in Ohio.

Love,
Sena

It's Hot Here!

Well we are settled in Austin! We got moved in and all the boxes put away and have been enjoying our new home. We can already tell we are going to miss the weather in Ohio because it is hot here all the time!

Addalie did really well on the move down here, she just made everything really easy on us. It seems that she is doing something new everyday now. She is rolling over all the time, grabbing things and holding onto them, and jibber jabbering non-stop. We can't believe she is going to be 4 months old next week, she is growing up way too fast. Here are some pictures from the last week.

We went to the Round Rock 4th of July parade, where it seemed to be about 100 degrees by 10 in the morning. Although never to hot for Daniel to wear his American flag shirt, he only gets to wear it on national holidays!

My grandmother Meme got Addalie and Emry matching outfits for the 4th of July.

Addalie flashing her gang signs in her bumbo.

Emry and Addalie on the way to the pool. I have a feeling we are going to have a lot of pictures of these two together!

Addalie not quite sure what to think about the pool yet, but she seems to enjoy it.

Doing what she does best, chewing on her hands.

One More Week!

We thought that since it had been several weeks, we would post some pictures of Addalie. Not much has changed, we have just been busy packing and tying up loose ends here. Daniel passed one of his insurance tests today and has another one on Monday. He has been studying like crazy and was excited to get one behind him. I have finished work at the mission so now I can spend time packing and getting ready for the move.

We are excited to be moving out next week, but sad to leave friends and our home. We plan on leaving here on Wednesday and being in Round Rock on Friday so this will probably be our last update before the move, so these pictures will have to hold you off till then.

Addalie is smiling more and more everyday. She started doing this really cute chuckle and snort when she gets excited.

We think Addalie is going through a growth spurt because she has been eating more these days, as you can tell by the extra chins!

This is Daniel and Addalie on Father's Day. Addalie likes playing guitar with her daddy!

Daniel is going to have a hard time going back to work after being off work a week. He loves spending time with his girl.

Texas Bound

We are very excited to announce that we are moving back to Texas!  After a lot of praying over the last year God has started opening doors for us and creating a path for us to move closer to family!

We will be apart of a ministry called Apartment Life in Round Rock, Texas.  You can read about Apartment life here.  Basically we will be moving into an apartment complex and working with the management to build community with the residents and help the complex retain it's tenants.  It is a great way to build relationships and minister to the needs of those we meet and live with.  This past week we were confirmed as a CARES Team and were able to pick out our apartment.  Here is where we will be living.

Another answer to prayer is that Daniel was able to find a job quickly.  He will be working as a Farmers Insurance Agent and is in the process of being licensed.  The next few months will be very busy for him as he tries to get out and make contacts and build his client base.

We are also excited to be able to attend Hill Country Bible Church Round Rock, which is a church plant that was started almost 2 years ago.  My sister Jada and brother-in-law Nick, who serves on staff at the church, helped plant the church.  We are excited to be able to go to the same church as family and be apart of all the great things that are happening there.

Some things that we would love for you to be praying about:

  • Our house needs to sell.  We are trusting that God will provide a buyer in his timing and we are patiently waiting.
  • Our move home - We plan on leaving Hamilton July 1st and be in Round Rock by the 4th. Pray that Addalie does well on such a long trip!
  • The residents that we will be ministering to in the apartment complex.
We are looking forward to the chance to see many of you more often! We will keep you updated on everything!
