New Toy!

Addalie just had to get a car of her own after playing with Tyler's so much. She loves it! She made her Daddy walk her around today (in this and a wagon) for about two and a half hours! Every time he started to go in she threw a fit. She just loves being outside! She got an old cell phone from our friend and she wanted to show it off.

My niece Emry joined us at our weekly Bible study this week. She sat in my lap for a while and looked at pictures of Addalie on my phone. The whole time she was so excited and kept pointing and saying "Alawee!" Then she sat in the chair and read her book. When I said, "Emry, smile" this is what she gave me! She is so cute and so fun.

Daniel kept Addalie for me today so I could get a lot done. When I got home, he had a ton of pictures laying out on the table. He took her to get one year pictures taken and they all turned out so cute! Here is one of our favorites. I know I'm biased, but I just can't get over how beautiful and sweet she is!

Playing

Oops, I forgot to update yesterday! I took pictures, I just forgot to put them up.

We have been trying to spend lots of time outside lately, and there is always friends around the apartments to hang out with, so it's lots of fun.

Here is Addalie playing with her friend Tyler! I couldn't get them to look at me, they were having a staring contest apparently.

Tyler let us play with his push car and Addalie loved it. She threw a fit when we had to go inside!

My Favorite People

Addalie absolutely loves books. She has wanted us to read them over and over to her. I love that she loves to be read to. And sometimes, I will catch her "reading" books to herself!

This Makes Me Happy

Today was a beautiful day! Addalie and I went out and knocked out some welcome visits for our apartments. I thought this tree was so pretty in bloom! I love spring! Addalie was happy to be outside as well!

Unproductive

Addalie has been a bit high maintenance the past couple of days because she hasn't been feeling good, so I have felt very unproductive lately. I hate those days when you just don't feel good about what you have accomplished. However, I took care of my sick baby and that's what's most important. I wish there were nothing else to do so I could just spend all my time with her!

So this is all I have accomplished this week. I put together a toy organizer for Addalie's toys and a net for her stuffed animals. She loves having her stuff where she can see it and get to it. When I put her in her bed, she points to whatever stuffed thing she wants to cuddle with. It's so cute!

Doctor Visit

Well, I don't have a picture today. Our camera battery was dead and I just never got around to it. Addalie wouldn't let me put her down all day, especially when she was running fever. She just wanted to be cuddled all day- it was kinda sweet.

So we went to the doc today. We already had a 1 year check up scheduled and it basically turned into a sick visit. Addalie has a double ear infectiona and the goopy eye stuff (I didn't want to look up the actual spelling of it, so it's just goopy eyes for now.) She is on medicine now, so hopefully it will get better soon!

Here are her one year stats:
weight: 20 lbs, 6 oz. (25-50 percentile)
length: 30 in (75 percentile)
head: 45.5 cm (50-75%)

So she is about average in everything. Other than the current illness, she is a healthy girl!

Sick Baby

Is this not the saddest sight? She has gunk coming out of her eyes and nose and acts very clingy. Pray she feels better soon! I think we are going to the doctor tomorrow, so I'll keep you updated.

Party Time!

Ahh! I'm not doing so good this week am I? Between the trip to Galveston and having lots of company, it's just been a little difficult. Anyway, we had Addalie's birthday party yesterday and it was tons of crazy fun! All of Daniel's family was there and part of my family. Unfortunately, Addalie's BFF and cousin Emry was sick and couldn't be there (so sad) but the rest of Jada's kids were there and Addalie's other cousin Bonnie came as well. They were all so cute!


Addalie loved her first piece of cake and loved getting to be the center of attention. She especially had fun when everybody was singing to her!

I just can't believe my baby is one. It's gone by so fast and I feel so overwhelmed with how blessed Daniel and I feel. She has been amazing this year and I look forward to all the birthdays to come!

Catching up

Well, we had a great time in Galveston this week and are currently having a great time with our family here in RR. Daniel's family came in today and my mom came in yesterday for Addalie's birthday party tomorrow.

Galveston

Today was Addalie's first time on a swing (sadly) and she loved it! She was laughing like crazy and didn't want to come inside-it was awesome.

We are in Galveston visiting my sister Kyla. My niece Ava is having her 3 year birthday party tomorrow! Fun times!

1 Year Old!

I cannot believe my baby is one today! This has been the most amazing year of my life and I cannot believe God blessed us with this precious little girl. We will have a party this weekend, but here are some pics from today.

She loves walking with this push walker. We are thinking she will be doing it on her own any time now!

Wild Thing

Please don't call CPS on us. I promise I did not let her go anywhere on this thing. Daniel just wanted to freak me out with this image when I got home from the store, and he thought it would make a funny picture. If only we had a little baby helmet...

Day at the Park

We had a great time hanging out with friends at the park today, then we went to the Loopers to get out of the chilly night air. Here is Addalie with her boyfriend Gunnar. He doesn't know what to think about her in this pic! She is patting him and he is trying to get away! He is soooo cute!

Mexican Night

Addalie tried enchiladas tonight. She loved them! She got so messy and kept asking for more! Then of course, she wants to play peekaboo while her hands are disgusting. We can't go a single night without a bath anymore!

Since I haven't updated in a couple of days, I put up several cute pics of our girl! She is so funny and doing something new everyday. I just feel like her mind is absorbing everything we are trying to teach her-it's amazing.

Tonight was Addalie's first time to brush her teeth! She did really well and even tried to brush them herself, but was definitely mad at me when I took the toothbrush away!

Precious

This is all I've felt like doing lately, and it happens to also be my favorite thing to do! I can't get over how precious my daughter is in these moments. Thank you Lord for this amazing girl!

Unfortunately, I have had to get up and take care of other stuff like brunches, three church things this weekend, two get-togethers with friends, and so on. All fun things, of course, but they just took a little more out of me than they normally would. Pray I feel 100% soon!

This is the sad state our bedroom gets in when I am sick and unable to do anything around the house. I have a kidney infection and it is not fun! I've had fever off and on, so I put a ton of clothes on and then take them off when the fever lets up-hence the horrible mess. Pray I feel better tomorrow so I can clean house!

Boxing

So this is what I've been doing on Wednesday nights- Boxing class at Monterone! I was thinking it would be like, kickboxing or just a workout including boxing or something. But this is real boxing, like I'm training for the ring. I have a lot more respect for the sport of boxing now! Watch out guys, I might be the next Million Dollar Baby!

Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls

This is my nemesis this week. They just sit there, taunting me, telling me I'm not strong enough to resist, and they are right. We had these at brunch for the apartments this past weekend and these were left over. They weren't supposed to make it into the house- I don't know what happened.

Anyway, I'm apparently an every other day poster. Hey, it's better than once a month! I'll work at it and get there, I promise.
